and great music. ;)
Some of the modes seem sort of buggy but I could play this for a long time.
Pretty nifty game
I only gave you a zero on sound because I played with the sound off so iIcouldn't really judge on that.
It bugged out or something on mine because on level eleven I believe I died... ran out of armor... whatever... and rather than getting a message telling me I was dead, start over, ok, menu, whatever it's supposed to do, I could still fly around the screen and shoot, but there were no enemies.
So that's my two cents. Or whatever.
Decent game, keep up the good work.
I guess that's what happens when you make your first game! BUGS. Thanks for reviewing man.
Apart from the fact that it was very glitchy, it was also unoriginal. All the sprites were from something else and you didn't exactly remake the game... it was essentially your own game using Mario sprites.
Several things that I had a problem with have been mentioned before.
Some enemies can't be killed. I know that box said evade said enemies, but how do you know WHICH ones cannot be killed until you attempt it?
The bats or black flying things or whatnot in the second level. I killed the first one, jumped over the second one and jumped on the third one... and at that point another one appeared where the first one had been.
The kill zones for a lot of the obstacles extended past the edges of the obstacles themselves. The ball and chain in Bowser's Castle is one example. The spikes on the floor is another.
The "boss fight" was stupid and, I am absolutely sure, impossible to beat without dying. (Also normally you can jump on Koopa shells to stop them, but we'll not get into that.)
I beat the game with -6 lives. I don't know how that works or why there are even lives if you can die as many times as you wish.
The coins were pointless, there were not enough for a one up.
The Kill Count was essentially pointless as well.
"Once again the Mushroom Kingdom is once again at peace" or something the equivalent of that. Two word. Grammar. Check.
But it was something to do for five minutes... pity it took longer than that to write this review.
Turning totally banal things into games can be quite fun...
The controls on this feel a bit kooky... I'd work on them if I were you...
it's a demo so i'll cut *some* slack....i don't think it was worth putting this up with this little content. there are only 2 "levels which are beaten in like 10 seconds total... it's not worth leaving up...
